The Hall Community Bank is proud to support public education in Gainesville. In October, President Ricky Pugh gave dictionaries to all 4th graders at Wauka Mountain Elementary School, courtesy of the Gainesville Kiwanis Club.
Members of the Gainseville Kiwanis Club are involved in all sorts of civic affairs, not-for-profit organizations and educational programs, so they didn’t hesitate to support The Hall Community Bank in this effort to give dictionaries to these deserving students.
In addition to the Gainesville Kiwanis, The Hall Community Bank supports many other local and national charities. Since 2004 they have had 100 percent employee participation in the United Way of Hall County’s annual campaign. This year, in addition to making individual cash donations for the campaign, employees participated in the “Stuff the Bus” project by contributing money and purchasing school supplies for underprivileged elementary school students.
Staying active in the community is important to us. Our commitment to public education is just an extension of our dedication to serving others.

The Buckhead Area Transportation Management Association (BATMA) is proud to announce that The Buckhead Community Bank is the winner of the “Most Creative Commuter Program” award at their 2009 Go Green and Commute Clean Awards. In 2009, the bank launched the Bikes for Bucks program which offers customers a 0% bike loan when they open a MAX Reward Checking Account.
Go Green and Commute Clean was a fun way for us to encourage more people to get involved with clean commuting. The Go Green winners are the best of the best.
The Go Green and Commute Clean Awards were presented on October 29 at Maggiano’s in Buckhead. Local business leaders and clean commuters gathered to honor the award recipients and to mark BATMA’s first 10 years of work in
the community.
We take great pride in offering programs that are good for our customers and good for the community. These bike loans will help people take positive steps for their health and for the environment, and at the same time they get the benefits of an outstanding checking account. We are so honored to be recognized by BATMA with this award.

Sandy Springs Community Bank is celebrating nine years of service in Atlanta. To mark the occasion, we had a customer appreciation day on Friday, October 2nd. Guests were invited to enjoy refreshments and visit with the staff.
Because we are a community bank, we can make decisions locally to help business owners in the community. In the four years since Sandy Springs was incorporated, the bank has played an active role in the growth of the community, and has contributed toward making it a vibrant home to over 85,000 residents.
Sandy Springs has been a great place to live, work, do business and grow. With this milestone, we are looking forward to even more good things in 2010.
